Minnie, Maisie & Me

Hello Everyone!  While I'm not new to the crafting world, the blog realm is a whole new window for me.  I decided if I was ever going to participate in card challenges, this was something I needed to tackle and social media is now a reality.  I can no longer escape.  So without further ado, here is my first blog post (actually one separated by three) for Vanilla Panache.  I hope you enjoy and subscribe.

This card was created for two purposes--My daughter's birthday and the January 2017 sketch challenge at Kraftin Kimmie Stamps.  I chose this image because of my daughter's newest addition to her family, Elmer and Skeeter.  Here is a photo:

I love interactive cards and this Traditional Dutch Fold card was very easy.  I followed along with a video I found on YouTube by Sincerely Rina.  Here is a link: Sincerely Rina  One change I would make to her video is, if you are going to use a border punch on the card, reduce the size of the score lines on the flaps.  As you can see, mine do not meet in the middle and if I were to create a new card, I would probably score these at half an inch instead of a full inch.  I layered magnets between my cardstock to keep the doors from opening.  Now they snap shut.  Here is my supply list:
